Episode 9 left off on a cliffhanger. Mars asks Momo, “Do you like me?” Come on Momo, you can say what's in your heart. Don't listen to your conscience, don't listen to others, don't... Sign. As Shakespeare said, the course of true love never did run smooth.
Mars grabs hold of Momo as she attempts to walk past him, and asks her, “Do you like me?” and “Have you ever liked me?” Poor boy. Momo angrily tells him to let her go, until he does and turns to go inside. She pauses to look back at him and tell him they'll never meet again after he moves out. Ouch! Can you be any crueler Momo, can you?
Mars agrees to work with Shi Jia, which makes Tony ecstatic. Immediately, plans are set in motion, and Mars is told to find somewhere else to live.
Momo is having dinner with Jia Sen and his parents when Jia Sen's mom tells then she heard of the dance at their school and suggests the two, Momo and Jia Sen, go together. So Momo agrees, but doesn't look too happy, and Jia Sen has dance lessons with Mom.
At the company, Shi Jia signs a contract and Yi Zhi tells Mars he's found somewhere else for him to live. Mars is packing when Momo comes in and they exchange their news. Chu Chu comes along to question Mars over leaving. When she becomes too embarrassing (basically telling Mars what's the point of moving out since he might just have to move back in if he flops), Momo drags her out.
Chu Chu warns Momo not to be afraid of love, telling her she'll regret it later if she does and leaves Momo to reminisce on her memories of Mars.
Dance fever! Mars and Ivy (Shi Jia's stage name) open the dance and later talk to reporters. But when it comes time for a choose the partner you like dance, Ivy finds Mars has vanished.
Outside, Momo yanks away from Mars and attempts to go back inside. But Mars stops her and tells her he's already moved and he may never see her again. So... a last dance? He takes her hand, and they slowly move. They speak and look at each other and a tear falls. Momo's.
She arrives home and goes to Mars' old room, to find it empty of his possessions, except for his stuffed animal doll Mumu and an envelope. Mars tells her he wants her to take care of Mumu for him and also leaves the handkerchief he already gave her before, but she returned. So Momo hugs Mumu, ties the handkerchief around her arm and cries.
Time passes. Mars and Ivy's single is a big success and Mars begins on his solo album, which hits number 1 on the charts. Momo gets a job at a music store. But it's obvious neither one has forgotten about the other. Momo wears Mars gift daily, while Mars frequently remembers Momo's advice.
It's a changed Mars that has become popular again, and people soon notice. At a meeting on his album, Mars thanks them for working with him and puts himself in their hands. We see a flashback to the old Mars who arrogantly refused to follow others ideas.
Yi Zhi is surprised when Mars starts talking about buying a house to live in with his Mom and Mars tells him it's because of what Momo said to him. Yi Zhi uneasily remarks that Mars doesn't mention her, but Mars tells him he thinks of her a lot and we next see him thinking a stranger is Momo and going to her only to find it isn't Momo..
The real Momo, meanwhile, gets a poster of Mars that is leftover one to moon over (which hearkens back to the opening scene, when she saved her Prince Kasaba cutout).
When Momo arrives home, she sees Chu Chu trying to hide a magazine and starts to rail into her about buying things, telling her she's already working to pay off her debts. It's pretty uncharacteristic of Momo to leap to conclusions like this, suggesting she was upset when she got home.
Chu Chu denies her accusations, saying she just bought this one magazine and we find out and Momo does that the magazine contained an article about Mars and another girl. That girl is probably Ivy, but that's not clear until later.
Momo is at Jia Sen's birthday party, where Jia Sen's mom tells her that they've heard from the school in London and Ji Sen was accepted. She'll pay for Momo's expenses if she comes to school in London, and even pay off Chu Chu's debts. Momo answers that she'll think about it.
Speaking of thinking about it, Shi Jia tells Mars she heard he wrote a great song and he should include it on his next album. But that leaves Mars lost in the land of Momo memories. As they're leaving, Shi Jia finally confronts Mars about something she's most likely already knows, but didn't want to acknowledge, Mars' indifference to her as a woman. She attempts to take his hand, but he's not having it. She asks him why, wondering if his feelings have changed. Is there someone else?
Shi Jia responds as gracefully as one can in that sort of situation. She thanks him quietly and tells him not to let the other person in his heart just be a friend. Yi Zhi confronts Mars when he comes back, telling him he's got his back if he wants to pursue Shi Jia. But Mars tells him he couldn't accept her feelings, which seems to shock Yi Zhi. Maybe he thought Mars would have gotten over Momo by now, or that their feelings weren't that deep to begin with.
Anyway, he sits stunned as Mars continues, talking about how he actually confessed before to Momo and she rejected him. Haha. She probably regrets it now he says. Yi Zhi then gives Mars a script that makes him smile.
Momo's called to the tv by her sister Chu Chu and it turns out Mars is doing an interview. He's taking on a new project, a drama based on the Prince Kasaba manga! Mars gives a shout out to Momo, using his pet name for her and Momo floats into his old room to hug Mumu in her happiness.
Mars is absorbed in reading the Kasaba manga now, much to Yi Zhi's surprise (and mine). Then Yi Zhi tells him Mars' mom isn't coming up soon, so Mars calls her to find out why. He tells her he wants her to see the house, but his mom is more interested in discussing the clothes he wore at a press conference and his upcoming drama. We see she's in some sort of hospital or clinic perhaps?
Next, Momo is preparing to go on a trip herself. She tells Chu Chu she is going to visit their parents' graves and Chu Chu wonders if it's because of the news about Mars.

Final Thoughts: I have to say this has one of the better second female lead characters in Shi Jia. She's not underhanded and really helps Mars. Plus, she actually accepts his lack of feelings for her gracefully. That's one of the great things about this drama. The characters aren't black and white, good or evil. There are no evil characters here, only flawed individuals.
