Watching Now: Borisut Bumbut Kaen

dramasoliloquyIt's been a while since I've had one of these posts. I finished Best Love and was impressed by it overall. No pictures cuz this is a real quick post.
Finished
Best Love - I love how fresh the Hong Sisters make it. Often times I'll expect this or that to happen, only to be totally surprised. And unlike with Lie to Me, it doesn't just come out of nowhere, but it fits with the plot and characters. I think I still like several other Hong Sisters' dramas better, namely You're Beautiful and Sassy Girl.
Watching Now:
Lie to me - Ehhhhh. I've been watching this on and off, having to pause from embarassment at times.
Drunken to Love You - I find the main couple reason enough to continue to watch, although the plot points are so contrived and silly. Now there's a mean ol mom in law, there are exes who keep butting in, you know the type, and then Rainie's character befriends the fiancee of her ex. Wow, she's just so ... so unrealistic.
BBK (Borisut Bumbut Kaen) continues to interest me. On episode 10, and I like the fact that the mental health issues have yet to go away. There are no easy solutions here. The presence of the monster Taywan lurks over all. He's the spilit personality of Taywan, the abnormal, vengeful side, while on the other hand, Jorm represents the normal, caring and good part of his nature. Taywan took the name Jorm later on.
I don't really care for the humor in the series, mostly portrayed by two workers at the hotel, but I like the acting by Aum and Ann. There's also a child now, someone who reminds Taywan of what he lost.
Watch Later/Dropped:
Material Girl - Not a favorite trope of mine, rich girl, poor guy, but based on reviews I might watch it later.
Hayate the Combat Butler - I'm gonna wait, for reviews and subs.
City Hunter - might start watching this.
Romance Town - slice of life, quirky, but the main actor, actress I find uninteresting.
Baby Faced Beauty - I find the male lead not so compelling. I actually prefer the second lead. But I might pick it up later if I'm in need of a rom com.
