Ah, l'amour. Here we have the recognition of Mars and Momo feelings for each other, ably abetted by a bunch of loan sharks, a capricious sister, illness and many other plot devices.
And how cute is Momo here?
The kiss that is only CPR. At least that is what Momo tries to convince herself. Mars comes to thank her, telling her he owes her and asking if there's anything he can do for her. He's inspired to write a song and the next morning takes it to a producer, who likes it, but would prefer someone besides Mars sing it, so Mars doesn't sell it.
At school, Mars learns Momo's absent and calls, finding out she has a fever from Chu Chu. Chu Chu cares for the sick Momo and tells her she has a boyfriend. We later see Chu Chu with her boyfriend, fingertips touching. There's a certain shallowness to the touching, and the way the camera does close ups of the guy that suggests a lack of feeling and familiarity between the two. Apparently, she let him borrow a lot of money from her, with him promising to pay it back.
Forces convene on Momo's sickbed, first Jia Sen who's heard Momo's sick and then Mars. Jia Sen is asked by Chu Chu to take care of Momo as Chu Chu's going out of town on a trip for two days on business, or so she says.
(Momo asks Mars to sign, Head loan shark)
Mars gives Momo a present, a limited edition of a Prince Kasaba figurine. She's elated at first until she's realizes it's a fake. (There's a nice connection made here as Mars bought her a gift worth the same amount as the purse Chu Chu's boyfriend has promised he'll get Chu Chu, but hasn't yet.)
Mars is upset since he spent his manager's money to buy it, but Momo makes it better by telling him to sign it since he'll be famous one day. He's in such a great mood he jams on the guitar, as Chu Chu sneaks out in the night.
The next morning, Momo finds people from the loan company at her door. Her sister used the house for collateral on a loan to get money for her boyfriend. A call comes from Chu Chu telling her to stay with Jia Sen for a few days and Mars comes and asks the loan people to leave and they do.
(Mars and Momo discussing where she'll stay.)
Momo is riding next to Jia Sen, and learns he'll be out of town for a couple of weeks for a swimming competition. What to do? Mars asks her after school, but Momo tells him it's not his business. He persists, telling her she can come with him to live at his manager's Yi Zhen's place, but Momo tells him she's going to Jia Sen. Jia Sen, rich, lives in a mansion, chauffeured in a limousine. A disgruntled Mars leaves, but not before giving Momo some water to drink. Too sweet.
Momo goes home, but sees a rack of guys surrounding her home and so spends the night wandering around. Yi Zhi reiterates to Mars that he can't help Momo as he doesn't have a lot of money saved, there's no work for him and he has to pay his Mom.
The teacher sounds Momo out for not having her textbook and asks her to leave. Momo does and Mars follows, pretending he didn't bring his book either. He wants to help, but Momo refuses his help and so they argue. She checks out her house to see the loan company group have made themselves at home there, playing around and one guy has a gun. She leaves and resumes her wanderings.
(Momo pretends to clean herself and eat.)
Momo looks at her money, but she doesn't have enough to buy food or drink, so in a myriad of quiet little scenes, she mimes drinking, eating and washing up. It's hard to imagine any other idol drama including such scenes.
Yi Zhi sees Momo walking around at midnight, but when he stops his car, she's gone, so he tells Mars when he gets home. Mars can't believe it, but calls Momo, only to find out she's in a park somewhere before her phone cuts off.
A beautiful scene unfolds as Mars finds her hiding from the rain and they end up in a hug. There's this look of amazement and understanding in his eyes, like this is for real and forever. It's not a purely happy moment either because I think he now gets how much she means to him and there's a burden that comes with love or from love.
(Mars and YI Zhi shopping for Momo, who looks at Mars lovingly.)
They go buy food and an umbrella and Mars takes her back to Ke Yi Zhi's place, while he and Yi Zhi go buy her clothes and such. She's grateful, but when they go to leave her and sleep elsewhere, she tells them she's scared of the dark if she's alone. The message is clear and Mars stays nearby as Momo prepares to sleep. She lays there looking at him, her heart in her eyes, until Mars finally teases her about falling for him. Haha.
Momo wants to go back home because she needs to get Prince Kasaba, but Mars flies into an outrage at that. He takes her to school, and gives her money just in case. Ah, what a prince!

Final Thoughts: Not much to say, really. It's just a win episode, all the way through, probably one of my favorites. Again, I love the fact that in the last episode, Momo saved him, and now he saves her.
Unlike a lot of series where they get too much into bickering, this couple treats each other decently throughout and that's so refreshing. They didn't start off hating each other, maybe disliking, which turns to like, then love. Simple. They have their disagreements, but neither hangs on to it.
